Prior to moving into my new flat I lived in a two bedroom house with a conservatory and a garden. The bathroom had a storage cupboard and the bedroom had a walk-in wardrobe. These, I’m now starting to realise, were a real luxury and something I very much took for granted.
In my last post you’ll remember I went into B&M and discovered some great pieces that were sure to solve some of my storage solutions. I am planning on going back and grabbing them before they all go but what I also wanted to show you was this great space-saving storage shelf I found in Argos. (You can find a link to the very same one here: Argos 6 tier storage shelf)

Below is a picture of my en-suite bathroom and like most en-suites there’s barely room to swing a cat. My first attempt at find a bathroom cabinet for the space between the toilet and the radiator failed miserably when I didn’t measure the space to take into account the skirting board (am amateur mistake I know!). Instead, that cabinet was relocated to the larger bathroom only then to be moved into the bedroom where it is currently being used as a side table. It was actually my boyfriend’s dad’s suggestion to use it as a bedroom side table because it was much smaller than all the standard side tables I’d been looking at, but with just as much space inside for my smalls.

I should probably apologise for the messy-looking wicker baskets. I was so happy to have somewhere to store all my toiletries that I just threw everything into them (but hey this is real life, not everything can be styled to perfection).
I’m certain though that I can’t be alone when it comes to the issue of storage space in flats. So this is a shout-out to other flat dwellers and a plea to know how you all deal with this issue.
If like me you’re having trouble organising where to put your furniture in a small space or how you going about creatively storing your things I’d love to hear from you.
